Daniel Bennett is a large framed RHP from Skaneateles, NY. At 6'4/210 he really looks the part. At Tropicana he topped out in the high 80s out of a tall/fall style delivery. He kept his FB down in the zone. He also showed a very promising slider/slurve with tight spin and good depth. His change up shows signs of being a quality pitch as well. He has advanced skills on the mound and he will, if he hasn't already, throw with more velocity. High level college prospect who should create some serious draft interest. He also showed some very good ability with the bat. Daniel is a good student.

Daniel, is a physically mature 05 RHP with strong legs from NY. At 6'4 200lbs he is a presence at both the plate and on the mound. With the bat Daniel showed very strong hands from a good blanced stance. Daniel uses a rotational approach with a good hand load to produce college level power. Most of his power was to the pull side but he showed the ability to use the whole field. On the mound Daniel was impressive. Using his large frame he pounded the lower half of the strike zone with FB at 87mph. Using a tall and fall style from a high 3/4 slot Daniel showed advanced skill for an 05. He showed a college level slider with 11-5 rotation with tight spin and good depth at 72mph. His change up showed signs of development with average sink and hand side movement. Daniel is a prospect right now, look for him to be a possible good draft in 05. He is a very good student with a bright future.

Daniel Bennett -- Bennett is a 6-3 junior right handed pitcher from upstate New York with a strong and athletic pro style body. He has a nice fluid delivery that enables him to control the strike zone and a quick, loose arm. Bennett threw up to 88 mph for 3 innings and didn’t throw a fastball less than 84 mph. He gets good running life into right handed hitters and seemed to enjoy challenging hitters with his hard stuff. Bennett has good velocity on his curveball up to 76 mph but throws around it a bit and it comes in flat frequently. He didn’t throw a change up. This is a young man who has a chance to be a top right handed pitching prospect either out of high school or 3 years later if he goes on to college. Bennett is a strong student, also. He's going to create a ton of interest.
