Tomas Rivera is a 2011 3B/RHP with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Pennsauken, NJ who attends Montverde Academy. Solid athletic build, good present strength. Excellent raw arm strength at third base, moves well to the ball, good balance, active feet, good hands. Right handed hitter, spread bent knee stance, raises up to contact, line drive swing, flashes bat speed, not using strength as well as he could. Also pitched, fast paced leg raise delivery, compact arm action, tight 3/4's release, hides the ball well. Consistent mid 80's fastball, hard boring action into RHH'ers, hard curveball with big nasty bite at times, definitely potential on the mound.
