Willie Maione is a 2008 OF that attends Seton Hall Prep and resides in Mendham, NJ with a 6'0", 187 lb. frame. Willie has an athletic build and plays for one of the top high school teams in the country. At the plate Willie has a strong balanced approach and has good bat speed and strength in his swing. Willie waits back on the ball well and is able to drive the ball to any part of the field. The ball jumps off Willie's bat at contact and you can see good power potential at the plate. In the outfield Will projects as a corner outfielder with left field being his best option right now. He throws from a short arm circle and has solid speed in the outfield. His arm is accurate but he needs to work on his throwing mechanics some. Willie is a good student that should attract the attention of many mid to high-level college programs.
