Joe Church is a 2008 RHP/OF with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame from Princeton, WV who attends Pikeview HS. He has a tall, lean build with long arms and some present core strength. Church has a upright, high energy delivery and an over the top release point. He has to fly open some with his upper body to get his arm through and he does struggle to repeat his release point and mechanics. Church's arm was very quick coming through and there is a ton of velocity in there waiting to be harnessed. Church's fastball was 88-91 mph with occasional running action. His breaking ball was a mid 70's curveball with a slurvy break that was occasionally big and sharp but was also loose at times due to his mechanics/release. He also threw a couple of change ups. Church has a power arm that needs some smoothing out but he has high ceiling potential. He is also a good student.

Joe Church is a 2008 RHP/OF with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame from Princeton, WV who attends Pikeview HS. Long, lanky build with projection. Deceptive delivery with some funk, repeats well, long fast arm, ball jumps out of his hand. Attacks with 88-90 FB to both sides of the plate, SL has some bite at higher velo's, some sink on change. Has some celing to him. Good student.
