Chris Ellison is a 2008 OF/P with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from Norman, OK who attends Norman North HS. He has a lean athletic build with square shoulders and lots of strength projection. Ellison has smooth, easy run/throw skills and should be a top level defensive outfielder. He threw 90 mph in drills with good on line carry and uses his 6.7 speed to cover ground. Ellison is a left handed hitter with very quick hands and plus raw bat speed. He has a huge hand hitch to start his swing, which leaves him with timing issues on high velocity baseballs, but he crushes lesser pitching right now and has surprising power that should just keep improving. There are plenty of similarities between Ellison and Aflac All American Garrison Lassiter's hitting approaches and hitting tools and Ellison could really blossom with some adjustments. Ellison also took a turn on the mound and threw up to 87 mph from a low effort delivery with a big and hard 76 mph curveball. He is a good student.

Chris Ellison is a 2008 OF/P with a 6'2", 185 lb frame from Norman, OK who attends Norman North HS. Chris has a tall athletic build and has the tools to project as one of the top two-way players in his class. At the plate Chris has a pro approach with very quick hands and plus bat speed. He is a fast-twich player that should project for a good amount of power and he looks like he could handle high velocities very well. In the outfield Chris shows two plus tools in his arm strength and speed. He is very athletic to the ball and accurate with his throws. His tools could project at any outfield position. On the mound Chris shows a very quick arm from an OH arm slot and shows velocity that projects to add a lot more. He has a good downhill plane on his pitches and his fastball will show some cut action. Chris shows a tight slider and really knows how to use his fastball on the mound. He is a player that will be a highest-level college prospect and should attract the attention of some MLB scouts.
