David Fry is a 2006 OF/LHP from Bishop Gorman HS in Las Vegas, NV, with a 6'0", 175 lb. frame, and was named to the Top Prospect Team. He is an athletic player with a good body. He had a sprained ankle that affected his speed, but he appears to be a plus runner. Defensively he has a quick arm with good accuracy and carry, and he shows good actions with good range. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a very quick bat from an open stance. Fry has a good approach and is short to the ball with the ability to hit to all fields. He makes consistently solid contact with present strength, and is a good gap hitter. On the mound Fry has a smooth and easy delivery with a clean arm action. He hit the corners with his 81 mph fastball, and mixed in a good breaking ball at 72, and a 70 mph change up. Fry maintained his velocity out of the stretch, and he showed good mound presence. Fry is a must follow.

David Fry is a 2006 outfielder/left handed pitcher from Las Vegas, Nevada with a lean body that shows strength at 6'0", 175 pounds. He hits from a narrow upright stance with good balance throughout the swing. He has a short compact stroke, and his hands are quick to the ball. He has a contact appoach and uses the whole field. He has good gap to gap power potential. He runs well, 7.26 in the 60. He showed good range with a solid glove. He has a compact arm action showing strength at 78 mph. Fry also pitched from a 3/4 slot with an even tempo, and a balanced delivery. His fastball topped out at 78 mph with some run. He throws a 1-7 curveball at 69 mph that showed good depth at times. He has lots of room to grow and he could be a top level prospect in 2006.
