Brendan Kawaja is a 2016 RHP/ with a 6-4 170 lb. frame from Rancho Santa Fe, CA who attends La Costa Canyon HS. Long, slender frame with long limbs. Deceptive delivery and arm-action, works to a true sidearm slot, arm is loose and quick through the path. Fastball up to 81 mph, offering has big life and large natural armside running action and sink in the bottom of the zone. Able to locate the heater to both sides of the plate and use it effectively to both left and right handed hitters. Also mixes in a good slider in the upper-60s, pitch has big sweeping, Frisbee-like action to the gloveside. Flashes a rare changeup in the low-70s. Good feel for pitching, shows solid knowledge of the craft and how to attack hitters. Very good student.
