Sam Kessler is a 2016 RHP/SS with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Mount Sinai, NY who attends Mount Sinai. Large frame, thin young body with a lot of remaining physical projection. Pitches from a low three quarters arm slot with a deceptive drop and drive delivery that allows him to hide the baseball well. Athletic delivery with good body control throughout, commands fastball well with late tailing action. Uses front side effectively in delivery, pitches aggressively inside, arm projects, threw a lot of strikes. Hits from a spread stance in the box, pull approach, short swing with a line drive plane. Short arm action from infield, hands work well, solid footwork. Good student.
