Anthony DeSouza is a 2016 RHP/SS with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Medford, MA who attends Malden Catholic. Medium, lean, young, projectable build and shows present athleticism. Ran a 7.33 60 yard dash. Pitches from a high three-quarter arm slot and has a clean, fast arm action. Topped at 84 mph with his fastball and locates it down in the strike zone. Knows how to pitch inside with arm side run. Commands his curveball with good 11-5 shape and tight rotation. Throws strikes with his 74 mph changeup. Shows an advanced feel for pitching. Also swung the bat, works from a slight knee bend setup and has solid, middle of the field approach. Flashes pull power with good bat speed. Arm works well across the infield and makes accurate throws. Hands work consistently. Very good student.
