Donovan Psaris is a 2016 C/1B with a 5-8 185 lb. frame from St. Louis, MO who attends Christian Brothers College HS. Compact and strong build, sturdy look. Low flexible set up behind the plate, has quick and compact actions, very strong and repeatable fundamentals, catches and throws calmly and under control, 1.97 best pop time, type of catcher who is going to throw out runners in games. Left handed hitter, big foot lift trigger and shift into contact, long pull oriented swing with good present bat speed, has some lift in his swing and can drive the ball, swing is timing intensive but the ball comes off the barrel hard when the timing works. Solid all around tools and good understanding of the game. Good student.
