Raymond Maurer is a 2015 1B/RHP, OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Middle Village, NY who attends Archbishop Molloy. Large, athletic build with long limbs and lean, projectable build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.74 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, moves well with athletic actions off the bag, full arm action on throws with a quick arm and release on throws. Also pitched, throws from a three-quarter slot and works exclusively from the stretch. Full delivery, works down and stays on line with lower half, front side goes early but filled up the strike zone with a fastball that topped at 75 mph with some run to arm side and worked it to both sides of the plate. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set that stays close to body. Line drive swing plane, creates line drive contact to pull side but shows ability to hit to all fields, gets barrel through the zone. Very good student.
