Nathan Montgomery is a 2015 C/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Geneva, IL who attends Geneva Community HS. Large frame, lean build. Hits from a spread stance, contact approach, short compact swing, strong hands, ball carries off bat well when squared, pull approach but showed ability to use opposite field as well. Big frame to block with behind the plate, raw mechanically on catch and throw, can improve pop time by cutting down on moving parts and shortening transfer and release. Good student, named to the National Underclass Main Event top prospect team.
