Zach Hogueisson is a 2017 OF/1B with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from El Cajon, CA who attends Christian HS. Very projectable athletic build, long and loose with the beginnings of some present strength. 6.83 runner, moves well in the outfield and has a quick first step, tends to get upright at release and throws uphill. Left handed hitter, upright stance, loose and easy swing, has bat speed and uses his lower half well, quick hands, has an inside swing path and is midfield to left centerfield oriented, gets too inside oriented at times and lets the barrel drag in the zone, has lots of hitting potential to develop. Good student, verbal commitment to Arizona State.
