Hunter Judd is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends Knoxville Catholic HS. Tall and slender young build, lots of room to fill out, has good physical projection. 7.19 runner, moves athletically in the outfield, long stride out to release, on line accurate throws. Left handed hitter, spread stance, loose extended swing, has good feel for the barrel, has some natural uppercut and lift to his swing, pull approach and projects power as he gains strength and bat speed, good swing mechanics to build on. Also pitched, over the top arm slot, falls off hard to the first base side on release. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, change up is his best pitch with good arm side fade and proper arm speed. Direction issues at release prevent consistency with curveball. Key to development will be gaining additional strength. Good student, verbal commitment to Lincoln Memorial.
