Blake Burus is a 2008 OF/3B/1B with a 5'11", 180 lb frame from Georgetown, KY who attends Scott County HS. Blake has a well-developed athletic build. At the plate shows a line-drive swing plane with the ability to turn on the ball. His swing tends to get too long at times and he really needs to work on shortening up. Blake has a tendency to bail out on pitches making it very tough for him to hit pitches on the outside corner. In the outfield Blake has clean actions and an accurate arm. Blake is a player that should attract the attention of some smaller colleges.
