Jonathan Padro is a 2007 C with a 6'0'', 189 lb. frame from Caguas PR, who attends Puerto Rico BB Academy. He has a strong, athletic body and good physical maturity. Padro threw 1.99 during catching drills with 75 mph arm strength. He stayed short and compact in his actions and has very good basic receiving and throwing fundamentals. Padro's a good runner for a catcher at 7.33 and shows his quickness and body live behind the plate. Offensively, Padro is a front foot hitter with a line drive swing plane and a simple contact type of swing. He made nice contact to the opposite field and looks like he could further develop his offensive game given his natural strength. Padro is also a good student.
