Evan Dell is a 2008 LHP/1B/OF with a 6'0'', 225 lb. frame from Plant City FL, who attends Lakeland HS. He has a big framed, soft build with some present strength. Dell throws with a quick paced delivery and a high 3/4's release point. His 72-74 mph fastball has good running action and he keeps it low in the strike zone well. His breaking ball is a 66 mph curveball that has occasional sharpness to hit and is also usually down in the strike zone. Dell competes well with the stuff he has. Dell also showed some ability with the bat. He has some strength and raw power when he stays back on the ball has some lift in his swing and the ability to drive it pretty well. Dell also was a smooth fielding first baseman with soft hands around the bag. He is a good student.
