Jeremy Crivello is a 2008 LHP/1B/OF with a 5'9'', 165 lb. frame from Keaau HI, who attends Hilo HS. He has a small frame and wiry, athletic proportions. Crivello was listed as a primary pitcher and performed well on the mound, but he really stood out as a hitter and solid defensive player. With his frame he is not likely to throw much harder, but his frame becomes less of a detriment as a hitting prospect. Crivello has a quick bat and is short to the ball. He consistently keeps his hands inside the baseball, lets the ball get deep and showed the ability to hit to all fields. His opposite field approach is particularly good. He has good hands and good bat control. Crivello is a good outfielder too, with a smooth approach to the ball. His arm is quick and could gain some strength in the coming years as he gets stronger in the legs and core. He keeps his throws low. Crivello runs a bit and gets good jumps on the ball, suggesting that he can play centerfield at the right level of college ball. On the mound his arm is also quick. He does a nice job of hiding the baseball. Crivello gets down angle with his 78-80 mph fastball and his curveball is slippery. He has good feel for the baseball and could succeed as a reliever in college baseball. He is a good all-around player and gets the most out of his ability.
