John Manu-Olevao is a 2007 RHP/1B with a 6'6'', 340 lb. frame from Hilo HI, who attends Kahuku HS. He has a very big body and frankly looks exactly like what he is, which is a D1-bound offensive lineman (Utah). If he continues to stick with baseball, Manu-Olevao has a chance to do some damange with the bat. He is not going to hit for average, but when pitches enter his zone and within his plate coverage, he can maul a baseball. His bat speed is good once his swing is underway, so timing is really a huge key for him. He swings for the fences and hunts pitches, with minimal adjustability. His power to the pullside was apparent. Around the bag he has really good feet, though not much flexibility or range.
