Eric Hymel is a 2006 outfielder/third baseman from Madisonville, Louisiana with a slender, projectable body at 5 ft. 10 160 pounds. He is short to the ball and gets out on his front side quickly. He has nice hitting mechanics, and he has a good extended finish. He ran a 7.19 in the 60, and a 4.58 home to first. He showed a quick, strong arm, and topped out at 87 mphfrom the outfield with very good accuracy and carry. He has good footwork and gets a quick read off the bat, and can cover a lot of ground in the outfield. He has lots of room to grow and add strength, and he will be a high-level prospect in 2006.
