Benjamin Mabb is a 2023 OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Wadena, IA who attends North Fayette. Recorded a 7.11 second sixty yard dash time. Large frame with a lean and athletic build, has plenty of room to fill moving forward. Primary outfielder, fields the ball off the front foot and tends to stop his momentum to throw. Utilizes a short and compact arm action, will continue to improve as he gains ground with his footwork and keeps his momentum moving towards the target. Right-handed hitter with a narrow stance and a small leg lift trigger, does not get the back side loaded prior to launch, could engage with the lower half more to produce added power. Has a high hand and back elbow set and then loads them lower and tight to the body. Constricted swing, can relax the hands/arms more moving forward and get extended out front. Has a physical frame and can use it more within the swing. Good student.
