Felix Diaz is a 2006 third baseman/right handed pitcher from Toa Baja PR with a lean, thin body type at 5 ft. 11 157 pounds. He hits with a wide stance with his toes pointed in and his knees in a somewhat inward position. He is a contact hitter with not much power projection, but the ball jumps off his bat with hard line drives. Defensively, he has decent hands and good feet. He gets his body in a good position to make plays, with good control. He will probably project out as a 2B at the next level. On the mound he changes arm angles often dropping down to his side at times and is inconsistent with his landing position. His fastball is a bit straight topping out at 70 mph. He throws a soft sweeping curveball at 58 mph with slight break. Felix is a very good student.
