McCurry is a slender 6-1, 165 lb outfielder from Tennessee. He ran the 60 in 7.28 and threw 70 mph from the outfield and will have to improve his arm strength and throwing fundamentals to play outfield at the next level. McCurry hits from a wide stance with a no stride approach with his hands far back away from his body. He has a flat swing plane and will improve his bat speed with more strength in his hands and upper body. McCurry showed the ability in batting practice to make consistent solid contact to all fields. He had good balance through the ball. McCurry is a very good student as well.
