Cody Normand is a 2009 RHP/OF from North Kingstown HS, residing in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, with a 5'11"/185 pound frame. Normand was named to the Top Prospect Team. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with clean arm action and good arm speed. Cody has an online delivery with a downward plane to the plate. He keeps his fastball down at 85 mph and works in and out well. Normand has good bite on his 11-5 curveball at 73 mph and his changeup has good arm speed at 76 mph. Cody hits from a slightly open stance with a small stride and looks to pull. He has solid power with lift in his swing. He does cast at times and his swing will get long. Normand has long arm action from the outfield with good carry at 80 mph. He has a quick release and moves to the ball well. Normand is an excellent student.
