Chris Coleman is a 2008 MIF/OF with a 6'0'', 175 lb. frame from Farmington, New Mexico, who attends Farmington High School. Coleman has a lean and projectable frame. Defensively he has nice footwork in the middle of the diamond that allows him to get in the proper fielding position. His hands work and he makes the plays. Coleman moves well showing body control and he sets up well. He has arm strength, and his throws are accurate. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a wider base wit ha leg lift trigger. He has a balanced approach, and he has bat speed through the zone. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a big leg kick. He has a busy delivery, but he gets arm side run on his fastball that topped out at 80 mph. He also mixes in a 65 mph curveball that has tight rotation when he stays on top. Coleman struck out 3 in his 2 innings of work.
