Matthew Anderson is a 2008 MIF/RHP with a 5'9'', 150 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Bellaire. Matthew has a slender build with room to add. At the plate he has a no stride, lift and replace approach. He is a contact hitter with some bat speed from a wide stance. He takes the ball hard to right field and does a good job covering the outside of the plate. Defensively he moves well and has a clean exchange and quick release. He has some speed, and ran a 7.21 sixty during the workout. On the mound, he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, with a clean motion. He competes on the mound and will challenge hitters with his slider. He flashed arm speed and his fastball topped at 81 mph.
