2007 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase
Mike Hass is a 2010 C/SS with a 5'10'', 150 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends Ocean Lakes HS. He is a young player with a medium frame and is just starting to add strength. Hass had good defensive fundamentals and stays short and compact in his actions. He got rid of the ball quickly and had a best pop time of 2.11 during drills. His arm strength is short now but he has plenty of time to improve. Offensively, Hass hits from a still start and has a short, contact oriented swing. He showed the ability to get the bat head to the ball and make contact but lacks the strength to develop much bat speed. He'll have to work on creating some sort of rhythm and load to start his swing.
