Austin Christensen is a 2011 LHP/OF, 1B with a 6-6 210 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Kennedy. Very tall frame, long athletic build. Good two way prospect. Showed a good tailing fastball, consistent 86-87 mph velo without a lot of effort. Flashed a solid changeup with improving feel that has good potential. Online delivery, consistently in the zone. Curveball flashed good depth. Good round of BP, short to the ball with solid bat speed. Gets leverage and has power potential that he has only begun to tap into. Needs to be more aggressive at the plate, has loft in his swing and projects to develop power, strong OF arm, athletic for size. Good prospect both as LHP and power hitting OF. Good student, committed to Nebraska.
