Jameil Chambers is a 2006 RHP/1B/3B from Sandy Creek High School in Fayetteville, GA, with a 5'11'', 199 lb. frame. Chambers has a medium frame with present strength. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a lanky and loose arm. Chambers has good arm speed with minimal effort. He throws slightly across his body, but he stays balanced through his delivery. His fastball topped out at 81 mph with good cutting action in on the hands of right handed hitter. His curveball was solid at 71 mph with good depth. Defensively he works well around the first base bag with good hands. He is a right handed hitter with an easy swing and quick hands. Chambers stays back well with good balance and leverage in his swing. He showed his raw power with a home run during batting practice and several hard hit balls during the showcase games. Chambers is a top level hitter with great upside. He is also a very good student.
