Wieland is a 2005 MIF/RHP from Huntington Station, NY with a solid 5'9"/160 pound frame. He topped out at 72 mph across the infield with good accuracy. He has good footwork and range with a solid glove. He ran a 7.19 in the 60 and showed good overall athleticism. Offensively, he has an effortless swing with short, quick hands. He made solid contact with line drives to all fields during batting practice and in games. He is a very patient, disciplined hitter. On the mound, he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a smooth delivery that goes slightly across his body. He throws a 70 mph fastball and a 63 mph CB with a 10-4 break. His future is in the field. Jason is a good student.
