2004 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
1B Jason Lallier: Lallier is a stout, barrel chested senior from Algona, Iowa who has been a regular Spring League player for us as well. He has some upper body strength and hits the mediocre fastballs in the middle of the plate hard to left and center field. Lallier got hold of one the first day of the Showcase and chased the centerfielder way back. Lallier tends to pull off the ball with his front shoulder and head, which limits his ability to drive better stuff, but he’s a good player in Algona with a metal bat in his hand. Lallier has a great attitude about the game of baseball and he's a good defensive 1B, too.
