Jordan Estepp is a 2009 RHP/1B/OF with a 6'5'', 201 lb. frame from Gate City, VA who attends Gate City HS. He has a big, strong body with long features. Estepp throws from a tall delivery with a short and tight arm action and a high 3/4's release point. Estepp pulls his head off the plate to get his arm through and lacks extension out front on his release. His fastball topped out at 82 mph with some flat run and was mostly 77-80 mph with some downhill plane. Estepp's best breaking pitch was a 72 mph slider that had some sharpness and bite to it. His 65 mph curveball didn't have much spin. Estepp also threw a 72 mph change up that had good arm speed. He threw strikes with all his pitches and had an idea what he was doing on the mound. Estepp is hard to project despite his body because of his arm action and delivery but he does have some potential in the future.
