Joe Shepherd is a 2005 outfielder from Stockton, California, with a large frame and athletic build. He is going to be a physical player with a middle of the line up type bat. Shepherd is short to the ball with very good hitting fundamentals. He centers the ball well, and uses all fields with some authority. Defensively, he has soft hands and good balance. Shepherd has online throws with good true carry to play the corner outfield positions. He comes to play, and shows that he is willing to give it his all. He's a good player and Joe is also a good student.
