John Gorman is a 2011 3B/RHP with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Norwood, MA who attends Catholic Memorial HS. Strong thick body, especially in the lower half, physically mature. Busy load hitting with big pull back load, aggressive hard swing, has hand quickness/bat speed, ball jumps hard on contact, type of hitter who will crush mistakes. Good carry on throws from 3B, accurate throws, soft hands, will have to work on foot quickness, 7.26 runner. Also a quality pitching prospect, FB to 89 mph from high 3/4's slot, deceptive delivery, very nice feel for change up with late movement, sharp slurve type breaking ball, has an idea how to pitch, struck out the first 5 hitters. High level 2-way college prospect, could become primary RHP with more velocity. Outstanding student.
