2004 Underclass National Showcase
John Warren -- Warren is a junior infielder from Pennsylvania with a slender but very projectable body. He showed us good actions at shortstop and nice arm strength that’s playable anywhere on the field. Warren is a 7.80 runner who should get quicker with more overall body strength. He hit much better in game situations than in batting practice, when it looked like he was trying to loft the ball and got out of his element. He showed some aggressiveness in the games with the bat and did a good job turning on balls and making solid contact. Warren also threw 2 innings and touched 81 mph with his fastball. He’s a very good student.
