Jordy Poche is a 2007 right handed pitcher/second baseman from Gonzales, LA with a short lean build at 5-7, 155 lbs. He pitches from a 3/4 slot with a short compact delivery. He hides the ball well and it comes out of his hand nicely. He aggressively attacks hitters with a fastball that runs hard and late at 85 mph. His curveball is his best pitch and has right handed hitters bailing with a very sharp break and it shows good depth at 68 mph. His change has decent action at 75 mph. He hits from an open stance with a wide base and a line drive swing plane. He is very short to the ball with a quick compact stroke and he shows good power potential. He is solid defensively with a strong arm and a good glove. He is a very interesting prospect with good 2-way potential. He is a definite follow. Jordy is a good student.
