Steven Mateo is a FA SS with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame from Dominican Republic who attends Colegio Lucrecia Diaz. Mateo is a tall athletic SS. Lean projectable build. Good hands and feet, showed good body control at SS with a very nice arm. Swings from a tall stance, leg lift trigger, swing is little long but the barrell stays in the path a long time, gets leverage, level swing. Interesting player with very high upside. Definite follow. Steven is very young, but has a plus body and tools, he could skyrocket over the next year or two.
