Justin Davidson is a 2006 MIF from Barron Collier High School in Naples, FL, with a 6'2'', 175 lb. frame. He is an athletic player with room for added strength. Defensively he has plus actions with soft hands and good body control. Davidson has the range to make all of the plays, and shows great body control on slow rollers. He showed great reactions on a groundball that took a bad hop, but he still made the play and made it look easy. He has a solid arm that will allow him to play either middle infield position. At the plate he is a legitimate switch hitter with good bat speed from both sides. He is a line drive hitter with projectable power and might have a bit more raw power from the right side. Davidson is a patient hitter with a good understanding of the strike zone. He has good game quickness with instincts. He is a fun player to watch, and is a good student as well.

Justin Davidson is a 2006 middle infielder from Naples, Florida, with an athletic 6'2", 160 lb. frame. Defensively he showed some great tools. Davidson has smooth and athletic actions with quick and soft hands. He has excellent range up the middle, and showed good glove work, and has a strong arm. Davidson didn't participate in the official part of the workout, but he ran a 7.34-60 after a game, and showed his game speed running a 4.45 home to first time from the right side, and an impressive 4.13 from the left side with long, fluid strides. He is a switch hitter who is equally good from both sides. He has good bat speed from either side with present college level power. Davidson has good instincts to hit the ball with the ability to make adjustments with his hands at the plate. He has a projectable body with room to add strength and improve on his already impressive tools with the potential to hit with good power. Davidson is also an excellent student. He is a must follow.

Justin Davidson is a 2006 , switch hitting middle infielder from Naples, FL, with a nice projectable baseball body. He has very good actions defensively and good balance and control, but will need to add a little arm strength and quickness to his game to stay in the middle of the field defensively. What really impressed us about Davidson was his bat. He has a very similar swing and approach from both sides of the plate, which is always good to see on a young switch hitter. If anything, he was a bit smoother and quicker from the left side, but he’s a legit hitting prospect both ways. Davidson has good bat speed and hand quickness and does an excellent job of staying back and hitting deep in the zone. He has a good swing plane to project some loft power from and the ball already jumps off his bat. Keep on eye on this young hitter as he starts to fill out his 160 lb. frame. Justin is a good student.
