Justin Hedges is a 6' 180 pound 2007 first baseman, third baseman, and right handed pitcher from Royal Palm Beach High School in Royal Palm Beach, Florida who was named to the Top Prospect Team. He has a medium build with good athleticism. Justin hits with a tall open stance and low hands. He has a quick bat and good bat speed who uses the entire field. He can really turn on the inside pitch and he hit one ball that registered 89 mph off his bat. He tracks the ball very well all the way through his swing. Hedges has good arm strength at first base. He threw 81 mph during the workout from there. He showed good footwork and soft hands with the ability to pick balls in the dirt. On the mound, Justin uses a drop and drive delivery and is a very efficient pitcher. He has plus command of all three pitcher and makes hitters put the ball in play. He threw his fastball at 79 mph with good late run. His curveball at 66 mph has tight 11/5 rotation while his change up was at 71 mph. Justin is a good young hitter who will continue to improve.
