Dakota Miller is a 2012 RHP/OF with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Kennedy HS. Well developed mature build, very strong in the hips/thighs especially. Compact delivery with drift to the plate and short arm action, limited use of strong lower half, tight 3/4's release point. Consistent 86-88 mph fastball, mostly straight, tends to drop elbow on off speed pitches, shows some power and spin the curveball when on top, works the bottom of the strike zone with all pitches. Right handed hitter, pull and lift approach, long extended swing with strength and power, can hit the ball a long way on his pitch. Good student, signed with Heartland CC.
