Homsy is a 5-10 right handed hitting outfielder from California with a slender body. He showed good speed running the 60 in 7.18 on a wet, slow track and threw 70 mph from the outfield during drills. Homsy is a smart hitter and a hustling player, which helps make up for his lack of present strength. He hits from a no load, no stride approach and has the ability to square up on the ball and hit it where it’s pitched, usually pretty solidly. He took a good batting practice and had 4 hits in the two showcase games. He took the same approach to the game in the outfield, where his good range and hustle made up for his below average arm strength. Homsy also pitched an inning in relief, throwing 68 mph with a 59 mph curveball. He is an excellent student.
