Garriga is a 6-4, 200 lb senior right handed pitcher from Miami with a strong, mature body. He throws from a low 3/4's to almost side arm release point that combined with his size makes it uncomfortable for right handed hitters to stand in against him. Garriga's fastball was 78-79 mph with some slight sink and run at times and he did a good job of maintaining his velocity both over the course of many innings and out of the stretch. Garriga's breaking ball was a sweeping 67 mph slider that because of his release point he was under much of the time. His 72 mph change up was a good offering and Garriga could throw it more often and have success with it. He was generally effective when he stayed away from the middle of the plate and pitched to his strengths.
