Mark Diapoules is a 2006 RHP from Martin County High School in Palm City, FL, with a 6'3'', 190 lb. frame. He has a tall, strong, and durable body on the mound. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm arch in the back similar to Keith Foulke. Diapoules has a nice and easy arm action with an online delivery and good arm speed. He throws a heavy fastball at 87 mph with cutting action and sink. His fastball jumps on the hitters and they don't get good swings. Diapoules throws a hard and tight slider that he buries low in the zone, and he also mixes in a curveball with more depth. He induces a great number of ground balls, and he will break many wood bats in his days on the mound. Diapoules works quickly on the mound with good tempo and defenders will love to play behind him. He has good present stuff with great upside. He is a very good student as well.

Mark Diapoules is a 2006 right handed pitcher from Palm City, FL with a tall slender body at 6-3, 190 lbs. He has a tall delivery with good balance and pace to it and maintains a very good downhill angle to the plate. Diapoules has a short, fast arm action and does have some effort on release and will fall off to the first base side. His fastball was steady around 88 mph, except when he cut the ball at aournd 85 mph. His cutter shows that he could probably learn a slider in the future without too much trouble. Diapoules's breaking ball was a 74 mph curveball that was very sharp at times, especially from the tall delivery, and had good 2-plane break to it. Diapoules has improved significantly in the past fe months from what we here from people in Florida and there's no reason with his loose, strong arm and good body that he shouldn't keep improving. Diapoules is a good student who has committed to South Florida.

Diapoules is a 6-3, 190 lb senior right handed pitcher from Florida with an ideal pitcher's build. He has a loose, quick arm from a high 3/4's release point and effortless pitching mechanics. Diapooules gets good downward plane on his pitches from his release point and gets even further sinking action on his 2-seam fastball. His fastball topped out at 88 mph and he had very good command of it. Diapoules threw a 76 mph curveball that had a sharp downward break and his 77 mph change up was an equally good secondary pitch. Diapoules finishes well with little tension, which should help his durability in the future. With three solid present pitches, very good pitching mechanics and a projectable body, he should keep improving in the future and be a premium pitching prospect. Diapoules is also a good student.

Mark Diapoules -- Diapoules is a sophomore outfielder from Florida with an excellent baseball body. He has a strong lower half and a projectable, slender upper half. Diapoules is a good runner with athletic actions and would be good defensively at all three outfield positions with a little better arm strength. His current approach with the wood bat will not allow him to take advantage of his natural athletic ability, though. Diapoules has a slightly open stance and strides away from the ball with no lower half rotation or help in his swing. There’s much more in this young man’s offensive potential with a different approach that takes advantage of his natural strength and athletic ability. He needs to be followed closely.
