Mark Triolo -- Triolo is a big athletic 6-5 junior right hander from San Diego who has a chance to get much better. He doesn’t give any impression that he’s finished growing or gaining strength despite weighing in at 210 lbs. and there are plenty of mechanical issues in his delivery that he should be able to work through with experience and good coaching. Triolo threw 4 innings in Fort Myers and topped out at 85 mph while maintaining his velocity well. His fastball moves down and in to right handed hitters well and should induce plenty of ground outs in the future. Triolo’s curveball topped out at 70 mph and he both tips the pitch off and takes away from the quality by shortening his arm stroke in back when throwing it. Triolo also threw a change up that’s in the development stages. Tiolo is a bit on the raw side, but there’s plenty of talent there. 6'5 "juniors" throwing mid 80s usually end up at 90 or better. He also shows hitting ability and big time power potential from the left side. Mark is a good student.
