Steven Giannoni is a 2010 C/1B with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Whitney Young HS. Long athletic frame, wide shoulders, good strength potential. Upright crouch, soft hands and receives well, quick lateral actions, blocks well, smooth transfer, some arm strength, promising catching tools. Rhythm approach hitting, rocks into ball, wide stance, low hand load, has raw bat speed, good leverage at contact when weight transfer works, lots of timing variables, ball jumps plus hard on occ, good hitting tools but timing/approach still needs work, addition strength will be a plus. Good student.
