Massey is a right-hander from Virginia who showed a nice looking downhill delivery out of his high three quarter arm slot. He is a 6 foot 1 and 175 pound pitcher with a good body and he projects very well. The way he pitched he was an easy selection for the Top Prospect game. His fastball was coming in at 76-78 mph but showed late life and he had 2 other good off-speed pitches in the curve and change-up. His curve worked well showing a down break in a hard to hit path at 67 mph. The change was deceptive, clocked at 63 mph and looked hittable until batters swung and it hadn't yet reached the front of home plate. Also he showed a good swing with some power potential and hit live pitching. Keep an eye on him as a 2-way guy. Matt is a very good student.
