Hayden Jones is a 2012 LHP/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Langham Creek HS. Athletic build, some present strength, long extended loose arm action, mid to low 3/4's release point, projects some velocity, some effort at release. Steady 80-81 mph fastball, flat slurve type breaking ball, has deception, will have to work on improving command of FB. Shows some bat speed at the plate, strength in swing, tall open stance, has power potential, stays short to the ball well. Good defensive actions at first base. Good student.
