Cody Poteet is a 2012 RHP/3B with a 6-0 178 lb. frame from Bonita, CA who attends Christian HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength. Very short stride, over the top release with limited lower half use, throws downhill but cuts off out front. Fastball to 92 mph, good life down in the zone and nice angle to the plate, tends to be flat when up. Flashes hard spin and snap to mid 70's curveball, not consistent on release point. Power arm with the ability to throw a consistent plus curveball. Good student, verbal commitment to UCLA. Named to the Perfect Game All American Classic team.
