Jamie Thaggard is a 2012 RHP/1B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends Etowah HS. Nice lanky athletic build, projects to get stronger. Simple delivery, compact arm action, 3/4's arm slot, repeats well. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 84 mph, have seen up to 87 mph in the past, pitches low in the zone and gets good sink, ground ball pitcher. Tight curveball spin, nice 11/5 shape with some depth, solid second pitch. Mixes it up, attacks and gets easy outs. Right handed hitter, easy swing with looseness and extension, ball comes off the barrel well, has some hitting tools to develop.
