2005 Unsigned Seniors Showcase
Morgan Wynne is a 2005 RHP/3B from Grace Christian HS in Anchorage, AK, with a 6'2", 206 lb. frame. At the time of this event, Wynne was unsigned, but that shouldn't last long. He is physically mature with present strength. On the mound this right hander throws from a 3/4 to high 3/4 arm slot. Wynne has a quick delivery with a drop and drive motion. His fastball topped out at 85 mph, but he is an upper 80s guy. He also mixed in a sharp curveball at 66 mph with 11/5 tilt, and a 76 mph changeup. Offensively he shows his strength with present raw power. Wynne gets great leverage in his swing and shows plus bat speed. He hit bullets in batting practice along with several hard hit balls in the games. He sometimes gets long with his swing, but the rewards are usually worth it. Defensively he has good footwork with solid arm strength. Wynne could be a two way player at the next level with great potential. He is also a very good student, and shouldn't be unsigned for long.
